Damac names SGC as Tuscan contractors

Damac Properties, a real estate developer, has awarded a Dh203 million contract to Square General Contracting (SGC) for the construction of Tuscan Residences project, a Mediterranean-styled development with Arabic architecture, in Jumeirah Village South.

Tuscan Residences will be a five-storey three buildings development of Siena, Florence and Arezzo. The project, which is expected to be completed within 18 months, will have studios, one-beds, two-beds apartments.

"Square General Contracting Company are one of the leaders in the engineering and construction industry in the country today and their appointment as main contractors is due to our faith in the quality of their work. We are confident that they will deliver a product that offers luxury and comfort to the residents at Tuscan Residence," said Chairman Hussain Sajwani.

"Jumeirah Village South is an attractive project due to its location and proximity to Dubai Media City, Dubai Internet City and the Jebel Ali Freezone. The project will be attractive to people from a number of nationalities," said Peter Riddoch, Chief Executive Officer.
