DDS Contracts & Interior Solutions, a joint venture of Depa Limited, has won its first contract in Singapore.
The Dh186.5 million deal is for the fit-out of 716 guest rooms and the corridors and lobbies of the sixth to 49th floors of the Marina Bay Sands Integrated Resort Hotel Tower 1.
Dubai-based interior contracting company Depa has a 55 per cent stake in DDS and partner Design Studio, one of Singapore's leading furniture manufacturers and interior fit-out specialists, owns 45 per cent.
"This win marks a great start for DDS," said Depa CEO Mohannad Sweid. "We strongly believe that Design Studio's expertise and knowledge in the Asian market and Depa's solid track record of fitting prestigious projects will benefit DDS in delivering quality on time and on budget.
"This is Depa's project first in the Southeast Asian market, where we see huge potential."
Bernard Lim, CEO of DDS and Design Studio, said: "Our top priority is to partner with the main contractor SsangYong to ensure seamless execution of this important segment of the Marina Bay Sands Integrated Resort project.
"We are honoured to have been selected as a key partner in this project and are confident of delivering in a timely manner, meeting our client's expectations and providing an exceptional experience for future guests staying in the hotel."
The Marina Bay Sands development will combine convention and exhibition facilities, a luxury hotel and a museum, among others.
