DEC breaks ground for Cultural Village projects

Dheeraj & East Coast LLC (DEC), a leading Dubai-based real estate developer, yesterday broke ground for its three projects located in the heart of Culture Village.
The Dh615 million projects include residential developments Cascade Ville and Cascade Manor and a mixed-use development The Estate. The three projects are spread over an area of 60,981 square foot, with a built up area of 412,743 sq ft.
Present at the ground-breaking ceremony were Marwan Halaoui, head of DEC's Technical Department, Sailesh Jatania, the company's chief financial officer, Raman Iyer head of marketing, and Shaikh Shamshuddin, sales manager.
Jatania said: "The ground-breaking for our projects in Culture Village is a big step forward, considering that we recently announced our joint venture with Robodh Contracting as our main contractor, and awarded the piling and shoring contract to Sharaf Foundations.
"It shows that the work is on the track and I am certain our strategic alliances with our partners will ensure smooth progress. I am optimistic that our combined expertise will add to the value of these projects."
As DEC's main contractor, Robodh will be responsible for the construction of all DEC's existing and future projects, including appointing and co-ordinating with sub-contractors.
Sharaf Foundations, a firm with an experience of working in more than 50 projects across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Oman and Qatar, has taken up the initial groundwork for the three projects, which includes excavation, drilling and foundation works.
