Dubai summit to focus on designing facades

The Facades Design and Engineering 2009 Summit will be held in Dubai from March 23 to March 24 and will be chaired by Chris Macey, Chairman of Society of Facade Engineering and Group Managing Director at Wintech. The event organisers are the International Quality and Productivity Center (IQPC).

The conference will address how iconic facades may be designed, which are both highly sustainable and functional. Macey will deliver the keynote speech, focusing on creating low energy buildings with effective facade design and reduced envelope air permeability.

This event will feature more than 20 high-profile speakers from the world's leading architecture and facade engineering companies, including Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture, Aldar Properties, WS Atkins and Partners Overseas, Norr Group, Hyder Consulting, Zaha Hadid, RMJM, Centre for Window and Cladding Technology, Woods Bagot, Wintech, KPF and others.
