Great Properties, the UAE-based real estate agency, has recently announced its commitment to protecting the environment.

It will undertake numerous initiatives, which include becoming members of Dubai's Emirates Environmental Group (EEG).

The decision to join hands with the EEG is part of Great Properties strategy to demonstrate its commitment to sustainable development and protection of the environment.

Becoming a new member of the EEG has brought forth new ways in helping the environment for Great Properties, according to the company. With the EEG's Arabia Corporate Social Responsibility Awards, community lectures, tree planting activities, and recycling drives, the emphasis is on companies and employees cannot to get involved and encourage other companies to get involved as well.

"As a socially responsible company, Great Properties is totally committed to not only protecting the environment and adopting practices to minimise environmental degradation, but also to build awareness of the importance of sustainable development throughout the public community," said Mohammed Al Zarah, Vice President of Great Properties. "Although Great Properties is still in its early stages of this sustainable green approach, we still feel that there is a lot to be done, but we'd better start somewhere," he added.

Founded in 1991, the Emirates Environmental Group is a voluntary, non-governmental organisation (NGO) and is entirely committed to the advancement of sustainable development throughout the UAE.
