InterfaceFlor, a modular floor coverings company, is expanding its presence in the region. It is also aiming for Leed (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold certification for its new regional office in Dubai. The company says it is ambitious in its bid to achieve a zero environmental footprint by 2020.

Lindsey Parnell, President and CEO, InterfaceFlor Europe, Middle East, Africa and India, said: "Mission Zero is a central part of the organisation's ethos and culture. It is clear without the savings achieved, brought about by implementing our sustainable initiatives and totalling $372 million (Dh1.3 billion) since 1996, we might not be in business today."

As a founding member of Emirates Green Building Council, the firm says it can assist clients in choosing the most sustainable carpet tile from their wide product portfolio and meet the criteria in different Green Building Rating Systems, such as Leed or Estidama.
