Limitless, the real estate arm of Dubai World, will deliver Jordan's first "green" buildings, which will save $2 million (Dh7.3m) in costs a year, the company said yesterday. Limitless Towers – the 200-metre residential twin towers – will be the first in Jordan to meet international environmental standards, with a series of eco-friendly initiatives in the design, construction and maintenance of the buildings.
Bahaa Abouhatab, Country Manager for Limitless in Jordan, said: "Sustainability is top of the agenda in all of our developments, and Limitless Towers will take environment-friendly buildings to new levels. For example, water recycling and conservation systems will cut residents' water consumption by around 75,000 litres each day – a saving of 25 per cent. "
Other green schemes for Limitless Towers include the use of energy-efficient glass, high-quality sensor lights, central air-conditioning and waste management systems.
Combined, they will cut costs by about $2 million each year, according to industry figures.
