Al Mazaya Holding has announced its plans for an integrated high-end one-stop design centre that will cater to the needs of all types of construction-related businesses in Kuwait.
"The Seven Zones is the first precinct of its kind in the area, focussed on the provision of support and materials for the construction sector, which continues to grow across the region," said Yousef Al Baijan, Marketing Co-ordinator at Al Mazaya Holding. "The provision of such services and resources under one roof will most certainly have positive impact on the area's construction sector in various respects."
Spread over an area of 22,500 square metres, the Seven Zones Design Centre is located in the Al Shuwaikh area. It has been designed by international design firm B&A and was inspired by the Piet Mondrian concept.
The project is named after the seven major construction-related industries and will comprise players from the furniture, water works, joinery, tiles & flooring, electronics, paints & walls and lighting sectors. In addition, there will be space allocated for interior designers, contractors and consultants to serve the related markets.
It will be located in the Shuwaikh industrial area, which is in close proximity to Kuwait City and has easy access to Shuwaikh Port and the free trade zone.
"We are very excited about this project, which we aim to develop into a centre that is set apart by the exclusive, top-quality services and material brands offered here. Brand screening allows us to enter into agreements with the very best in the field, ensuring satisfaction not only for us, but for our prospective tenants and their clientele as well," said Al Baijan.
The project is under construction. It is to be completed towards the end of the year or in the first quarter of 2009. Al Mazaya is listed on the Kuwait Stock Exchange and Dubai Financial Market. Its projects include Seven Zones and Kuwait Business Town in Kuwait; The Villa, The Icon and Sky Gardens in Dubai and projects in Lebanon and Jordan.
