RWI wins Dh1.2m MotorCity deal for insulation products

Rubber World Industries (RWI) has won a Dh1.2 million contract to supply insulation products for MotorCity, a themed community being developed in Dubai by Union Properties.
The Ajman-based company expects the order to boost its market share in the Middle East rubber insulation sector by 80 per cent.
"RWI is proud to be a supplier for the MotorCity project and part of this pioneering and much-anticipated themed development," said Managing Director Abu Baker Shaikhani.
"A prestigious project such as this requires the best products available in the market to be able to withstand the intense physical conditions in the region.
"We are confident that our products will meet the project's requirements, while providing other important features focused on reducing costs and energy consumption in line with green building initiatives by the UAE Government."
RWI is working on enhancing its products and aims to further increase its share of the UAE market and expand into other regional real estate centres.
It is investing Dh30 million as part of expansion plans that will increase its production capacity from 1,200 to more than 3,600 containers per year by 2013. The company aims to extend the reach of its high performance rubber insulation products beyond the 90 different countries it already serves. "As more developers gain awareness of environmental safety protocols we expect the demand for rubber insulation products to rise due to its long-standing benefits," added Shaikhani.
"Our products are the leading choice for future developments and we have optimistic expectations regarding the future of rubber insulation products in the UAE, across the entire region and even globally.
"We believe the top-notch quality, widespread availability and competitive prices of our products are the primary drivers of our success and we are expecting to steadily move towards achieving our goal of achieving aggressive growth in the region."
RWI is the only producer of rubber insulation in the Middle East. The firm's facilities at the Ajman Industrial Area make a range of products to meet the requirements of the oil and gas, construction, shipping and automobile industries. The firm was founded in 1993 and has supplied products to major projects by developers such as Emaar and Nakheel and exported rubber insulation systems to several countries.
