Sewer lines completed

Ajman Sewerage Company yesterday said that it completed the laying of lines and pipes for the first phase of the sewerage network in the emirate.

The company has signed a concession agreement with the Government of Ajman. The company will also build, operate and maintain the sewerage network for more than 27 years.

The new sewerage system includes a sophisticated network, which serves more than 75,000 homes and companies, located on 12,500 plots throughout Ajman. The water treatment plant has the capacity to treat about 50,000 cubic metres of sewage daily.

Ajman Sewerage was established in accordance with the Sewerage Law issued in 2002 by Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman.
