Solarcentury, the London-based European solar innovation company, has entered into a business partnering agreement with Enviromena Power Systems, developer of solar projects in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

The companies will apply their respective product development and project delivery capabilities to commercial and residential rooftop solar energy solutions in the Middle East.

The agreement is expected to add value to both companies combining Enviromena's reputation and on ground experience in the Middle East with Solarcentury's product design experience and international standing.

Enviromena Power Systems finance, design, install and operate solar power plants and has built Abu Dhabi's team of solar engineers and project managers with collectively over 50 years of photovoltaic design and project implementation experience.

It has completed several high profile projects across the UAE including the largest grid-connected solar plant in the Middle East, the Masdar 10 megawatt Solar Power Plant.

Abu Dhabi has become a global epicentre for the alternative energy industry, hosting the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) and is spearheading one of the world's most ambitious alternative energy programmes.
