Turkey firm wins Marina contract

Turkey-based construction company Tepe Akfen (TAV) Construction has won the Dh1.1 billion construction contract to build the Marina 101 Tower at Dubai Marina. The Dh1.7bn tower is being developed by Sheffield Real Estate and is scheduled for completion by 2010.

Yusuf Akcayoglu, Regional Director (UAE and Qatar), TAV Construction, said: " We are glad to have Marina 101 in our portfolio because it is a one-of-its-kind project."

Marina 101 is part of Sheffield's over Dh7bn project portfolio in Dubai's freehold real estate space, which includes commercial realty and retail projects.

TAV Construction has been working on projects across the region since 2003.
