Meeting the challenges of global energy supply and demand depends on integrated business processes, a global forum in the capital was told on Tuesday.
More than 300 decision-makers, senior official and experts attended the one-day event organised by Microsoft to discuss the role of information technology in securing energy supplies.
Ali Faramawy, the software giant's international vice-president, said breakthrough innovations and rock-solid business relationships were required.
He said the forum was an important vehicle for oil and gas firms to explore the solutions. Manal Ezzat, Microsoft regional marketing manager for Mena, said the company was committed to working with partners to deliver solutions to decision-makers in the industry.
