DoT signs MoU with Sharjah Transport

The Department of Transport (DoT) in Abu Dhabi signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sharjah Transport, aimed at providing cheaper and more convenient bus travel for commuters between the two emirates.

Saeed Mohammed Al Hameli, General Manager of Bus Office at DoT, and Abdullah Mohammed Al Zari, Director-General of Sharjah Transport, signed the agreement at the DoT head office in Abu Dhabi.

Al Hameli said: "Our MoU with Sharjah Transport will go a long way in providing sustainable and environment-friendly transportation between Sharjah and Abu Dhabi.

"This is a step forward in our efforts to provide an effective transport system that contributes to the economic growth and quality of life of the emirate of Abu Dhabi."

Al Zari said: "The agreement is a sign of our commitment to enhance the transportation infrastructure within the UAE."
