Itochu charters tanker to load gasoil at Ulsan

Itochu has provisionally chartered a medium-range tanker to load gasoil, or diesel, from South Korea for delivery to Chile, where two refineries remains shut more than six weeks after an earthquake. The Jose Progress, a double-hulled tanker owned by Kokuka Sangyo, will load 40,000 tonnes, according to a report from Interocean Shipping, a New Delhi-based broker. The freight rate is $1.45 million, or about $4.90 a barrel. The Panama-flagged vessel has been docked without a cargo southeast of Ulsan port since last week.
