Motoring rivals join forces for electric vehicles

Toyota, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Fuji Heavy Industries and Tokyo Electric Power Co yesterday announced the establishment of the CHAdeMo Association to promote electric vehicles by standardising recharging machines and marketing the technology abroad. The name comes from the words "charge" and "move".
