Dubai Financial Market (DFM) announced yesterday that foreign investors, or non-UAE nationals, sold shares worth Dh774 million during the June29-July 3 week.
The total value of shares bought by foreigners reached Dh1.8 billion comprising 27.7 per cent of the total value of stocks traded during the week, according to a statement issued by the DFM.
The value of stocks sold by foreign investors during the same period reached Dh2.6bn comprising 39.1 per cent of the total value of stocks traded during the period.
The value of stocks bought by institutional investors during last week reached Dh1.520bn comprising 22.3 per cent of the total value of stocks traded, while the value of stocks sold by institutional investors totalled Dh1.9bn, which constituted 29 per cent of the total value of stocks traded during the period.
Net institutional investment on the market reached Dh456.4m during the period as aggregate sell. The Dubai bourse ended on Thursday, the last trading of week, at 5,508.82, down by 22.29 points or 0.4 per cent.
