Japanese rail company's sales decline 6.7%

West Japan Railway Company, Japan's third-largest rail operator by market value, had its biggest drop in railroad revenue on record last fiscal year, as a slumping economy and lower highway fees cut sales. The Osaka-based company's railroad revenue fell 6.7 per cent in the 12 months ended March 31 from a year earlier, it said in a statement.
