Children complete DPC's media training
The ninth edition of the Kids Press Club organised by the Dubai Press Club (DPC) will close on Thursday, with a press conference, in which the participating children will address the media on the experience and knowledge they gained from the three-week media training.
The press conference will see the children interacting with and answer questions from the media persons.
Speaking on the programme, Maryam bin Fahad, executive director, Dubai Press Club, said she was delighted by the success of the programme. "It is a matter of great pleasure that we have identified many future journalists. DPC is pleased to have played a role in helping these children realise their true vocation," she added.
Pointing out that the Kids Press Club is a significant component in DPC's media development strategy since it exposes children to the transformative role of the media in society, she thanked the organisations that partnered on this important initiative, particularly Al Arabiya TV, Arab Media Group, Unicef and SAE, the world's first media education institution to focus on sound engineering and cinema.
