Jumbo selects new agency for PR in Mideast
Jumbo Electronics has selected Four Communications to handle its official press office and PR activities in the Middle East.
Prior to that, Jumbo's communications activities were being handled by BPG Group for more than three years as a part of their integrated communications services. BPG still holds the decade-long advertising account.
Nitin Puri, Executive Vice-President, BPG Group, said the PR account will not affect the relationship with Jumbo.
"There was a mutual agreement, and they did not call for a pitch."
Jumbo representatives were not available for comment. Jumbo Electronics was founded in the UAE in 1974 and now manages, retails, distributes and installs multiple brands across multiple market sectors.
These include consumer goods, telecommunications, IT, home appliances, heating and air-conditioning solutions and office automation.
Four Communications was set up in 2001 and grew to 140 staff covering various communications disciplines, becoming one of the fastest-growing PR companies in the United Kingdom and the Gulf. In 2006, it was named the Holmes Report UK Agency of the Year.
