Zee TV's real estate and property show Habitat has completed one year.

It started its initial broadcast in the UAE a year ago and soon afterwards increased its footprint covering by telecasting from Zee TV's United Kingdom beam in August 2007, where it reaches more than 200,000 South Asian households.

Marwan Ahmed bin Ghalita, CEO Real Estate Regulatory Authority (Rera), and Mohammad Thani, Assistant Director General, Dubai Land Development, were present at the celebrations to mark the anniversary.

Speaking to Zee TV, Marwan Ahmed said: "Zee TV team is doing a great show by sending a message to the investors and keeping them attached to the real estate market. Viewers check for updates on Rera and your team has covered most of the events. The show makes people aware about the happenings in the market and that makes people more confident about its transparency."

Commenting on this development, Rajeev Kheror, content head, Real Media - Zee Network, said: "The main reason for success of Habitat is our dedicated concept for local programming that we have customised especially for this region. The real estate sector in the UAE and other GCC countries is one of the most dynamic and innovative in the world. Habitat is a guide amid the fast changing trends that affect all aspects of this industry from technology to design. A show like this was long overdue and I am thrilled that we took the lead to develop this successful programming concept."

The half-hour weekly prime-time programme is aired every Saturday at 1930 with repeat telecast on Thursdays at 2230 and on Fridays at 1300.

Along with Shadaab, the host for Habitat, Ashwin Nivsarkar, a real estate expert, offers advice. To mark the anniversary, the Habitat team planted trees on behalf of all its patrons.
