Tech Group subsidiary and Ajman’s premier concrete mix firm Remix Tech opened two new batching plants yesterday at a total cost of Dh45 million, aimed at meeting the high demand for concrete mix for construction work across the UAE. The first plant was opened at a cost of Dh40m, and another, smaller plant at a cost of Dh5m. The two plants are of about 90 cubic metre per hour capacity, increasing the total production capacity of the company to 540 cubic metre per hour, said Tech Group CEO Ali Ghaleb Jaber. Remix Tech is also in the process of purchasing 86 trucks for the transportation of ready-mix concrete, and has placed an order for an additional 20 trucks to be delivered shortly after these, he said. “The ongoing construction boom in the region is excellent news for us, and we are putting in place the necessary measures to ensure that we are able to keep up with the demand for quality ready-mix concrete. The additional plant and vehicles will enable us to meet and surpass current demands, which ultimately translates into faster completion of construction projects,” said Jaber. Remix Tech is located in Al Jurf, Ajman, and opened its doors in 2006. Within its first’s year, the company produced more than 450,000 cubic metre of ready-mix concrete to various construction sites in the region. Its current production capacity is 450 cubic metre per hour, said El Fatih Siraj, general manager of Remix Tech. “We have at our disposal the finest equipment available, including state-of-the-art plants, a large fleet of truck mixers, mobile and stationery pumps, placing booms and other equipment, all of which allows us to guarantee customer satisfaction and to produce the best quality ready-mix concrete,” he said.
