Bloom Properties launches townhouses in Abu Dhabi

Bloom Properties, an Abu Dhabi-based developer, yesterday launched townhouses in Bloom Gardens, its master development in the capital.

"We are keen to reinforce our position in Abu Dhabi and the UAE market with our first master planned community development, Bloom Gardens," said Hani Shammah, Chief Executive Officer, Bloom Properties.

Bloom, which is a joint real estate development arm of National Holding and Emirates International Investment Company, is taking part in the Abu Dhabi Real Estate and Investment Show (IREIS) 2009.

"The global credit crisis has not impacted Abu Dhabi residents and nationals from seeking opportunity to secure a home on the main island of Abu Dhabi on one of the last plots of land on the Eastern seafront."

Bloom Gardens is located in Abu Dhabi's Eastern Mangrove Corniche Road.

The development will have Andalusian- and Tuscan-style villas and townhouses in addition to luxury low-rise apartments.

"Community-orientated developments have experienced vast interest over the last year," said Shammah.

Depending on the location, the Bloom Gardens and other forthcoming bloom communities will incorporate assets with strong operators in the educational, hospitality, healthcare and leisure fields.

Shammah had told Emirates Business last year that Bloom had $10 billion (Dh36.7bn) worth of projects in hand and expects a projected increase to $15bn in the near term.

Bloom Properties is currently pursuing property development across the UAE, Algeria and Romania and is seeking opportunities in at least four other countries.

The company is also aiming to become a leading property developer in new growth markets.
