Emaar Properties yesterday unveiled The Mansion at Burj Dubai, a 60-storey complex located on Burj Dubai Boulevard and Lakefront.

The project has been designed by architect Adrian Smith, the designer of Burj Dubai, and will feature studios, and one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments. At The Mansion at Burj Dubai, customers can also select from duplex units with double volume spaces.

Large terrace units that integrate with the majestic shape of the tower sit atop the building.

The 58th storey will have a penthouse unit with two large terraces. The Mansion will also feature an international restaurant in its lobby that opens directly to magnificent views of the fountain.

Saif Al Mansoori, sales director, Emaar Properties, said: "The Mansion at Burj Dubai will be one of the crowning residential projects in Downtown Burj Dubai. It blends three elements of appeal: a central location within Downtown Burj Dubai; spectacular views of Burj Dubai and the fountain in Burj Dubai Lake; and a rich spread of retail and lifestyle amenities."

He added: "Dubai is a preferred investment destination for global investors. By offering a world-class residential project that is on par with any world-class development, The Mansion at Burj Dubai will appeal to the discerning buyers who value a distinctive residential address in the new heart of the city."

Adrian Smith said: "In designing The Mansion at Burj Dubai, the chief consideration was to create another aesthetic referral point within Downtown Burj Dubai, which complements the architectural appeal of Burj Dubai. The distinctive woven glass façade has been specifically conceptualised to maximise views, with the innovative design also allowing for reduction in energy consumption, thus building further on Dubai's green building vision."

He added: "The Mansion at Burj Dubai is not only a gateway between the commercial and residential zones in Downtown Burj Dubai, it is also an elegant work of architecture that has been designed in direct response to the surrounding design context. Its unique façade adopts a subtle, alternating pattern in the directionality of window units, which creates a dynamic woven texture. Vertical ribbons of stone will line the southern façade protecting the units from the harsh sun while allowing light to filter in."
