Limitless, the global master development arm of Dubai World, will start leasing 300 apartments in The Galleries, a mixed-use project, in Downtown Jebel Ali in the next few months, the company said yesterday.
"Our projects aim to enhance and enrich lives. The Galleries at Downtown Jebel Ali combines modern working with quality living, provides a healthy balance of indoor and outdoor life, and promotes the use of environmentally friendly transport, all in a community-style setting," Saeed Ahmed Saeed, CEO of Limitless, said in a press statement.
The project, which is served by the Dubai Metro, will have four mixed-use buildings of up to 30 storeys, 600 apartments, 95,000 square metres of boutique retails, with 10,000 sq m of landscaped plazas. Retail outlets at the complex are also taking shape, while extensively landscaped, shaded grounds are due for completion in September.
Meanwhile, Standard Chartered Bank, Citibank and Blom Bank France are the latest international businesses to set up operations at Downtown Jebel Ali. The banks join household names such as Ericsson, Kraft Foods and L'Oreal in a growing list of local and global companies who have moved to A-grade offices or taken retail space in Downtown Jebel Ali's first four commercial towers, which are part of The Galleries.
The offices offer high-quality, tailor-made accommodation with onsite property and facilities management services. Businesses can lease from 1,000 to 15,000 square feet per floor, and can take multiple floors if required.
Saeed said: "More local and international businesses are taking advantage of Downtown Jebel Ali's favourable location, convenient transport links and community-style environment. More than a dozen firms are now based here, with more moving in shortly."
