Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department, yesterday issued an ordinance setting up committees to deal with rent disputes for the emirate of Abu Dhabi.

The panels will be tasked with the urgent settlement of disputes between landlords and tenants, as well as with taking decisions on temporary procedural applications submitted by either party. The commitees shall execute Law No20/2006 on renting real estate, regulating ties between landlords and tenants in Abu Dhabi as well as the UAE Federal Civil Procedure Law.
