Robodh Contracting joins hands with DEC

Robodh Contracting has entered into a joint venture with property developer Dheeraj & East Coast (DEC).
Under the agreement, Dubai-based Robodh will be the main contractor for all DEC projects, which are worth Dh4.5 billion.
DEC says the primary reason for establishing the partnership is to ensure speedy construction and reduce escalating costs. Robodh's responsibilities will include the appointment of subcontractors.
"It has become really important to tie up with a construction company to maintain uninterrupted construction of ongoing projects," said DEC Managing Director Dheeraj Wadhwan.
"It has been quite a significant decision. We are working on various projects and Robodh will ensure speed and quality. We chose Robodh after looking at their excellent track record in the UAE in executing certain landmark projects in Dubai."
He said selecting the right main contractor was one of the most important decisions in real estate development.
"The joint venture will not only help us to standardise and adhere to the highest quality benchmarks but will also ensure timely delivery. Furthermore this long-term relationship will help us to cut the cost of construction. It will also give us better control over subcontractors."
Robodh CEO PH Menon said: "The relationship with DEC is a part of our strategic intent to achieve quantum growth consistent with our values and beliefs."
DEC is a joint venture between Dheeraj Constructions of India and East Coast of Dubai. It has projects at Dubai Marina, Business Bay, Cultural Village, Dubai Residences and Jumeirah Village.
