Wasl's townhouse units start from Dh15,416 pm

If you are looking to live in a brand new townhouse in an upscale Jumeirah community, get ready to shell out at least Dh15,416 per month in rent.

Rents for a four-bed townhouse in Wasl Square start from Dh195,000 to Dh220,00 per year, or Dh16,250 to Dh18,333 per month, while three-bed ownhouse are being leased from Dh185,000 to Dh188,000 per year, or Dh15,416 to 15,666 (all per month).

A Wasl Properties call centre executive confirmed to 'Emirates24|7' the above rents. The company is, however, yet to start leasing the one- and two-bedroom apartments.

The project, dubbed — the Jewel of Jumeirah — by the company, will have 140 apartments and 130 townhouses.

The project will consists of 26 one-bedroom apartments, 114 two-bedroom apartments, 14 three-bedroom townhouses and 116 four-bedroom townhouses, according to the company brochure.

This website reported in February that the company was offering a “budget” option for one-beds between Dh60,000 and Dh90,000 per annum; two-bed between Dh80,000 and Dh110,000 pa; three-bed townhouses between Dh150,000 and Dh225,000 pa and four-bed townhouses between Dh175,000 and Dh250,000 pa.

Faisal Baig, Director, PropSquare Real Estate, said that it is not too costly considering Jumeirah.

“There are hardly any brand, new townhouses for rent in that community. The old ones are being leased in the range of Dh160,000 to Dh170,000 pa. I believe they will be able to rent them out.”
