Time to stand out

KNOWN FOR its funky timepieces, Toy Watch has gone one step further by introducing its Jelly Collection. The line mimics the classic Rolex Submariner, but with their bright acid shades the watches are certain to brighten any outfit going into the cooler months. Already adorning the wrists of such celebrities as Madonna, Michelle Obama and Mark Wahlberg, the collection is on sale now at Harvey Nichols, from Dh1,075.

Simply snap happy

NOVICE PHOTOGRAPHERS have been given a helping hand, thanks to Sony's new range of entry-level Alpha cameras, specifically designed for first-time DSLR users. The three models are all lightweight but include high-performance features, including the eye-start function which automatically activates the autofocus when the user looks through the viewfinder, for better snaps of all occasions. They are available at Jumbo Electronics.

Runway ready

HOT ON the heels of The September Issue documentary giving an insight into the fashion world, the editors of Style.com have written Stylist: The Interpreters of Fashion, which looks at those who propel the fashion world forward, declaring what's hot and what's not. The book is available now at Boutique 1 in Jumeirah Beach Residence.

Ford's new fragrance

FASHION MAESTRO Tom Ford, the former creative director of Gucci, has launched his latest men's scent, Italian Cypress. With notes of mandarin and calabrian bergamot and hints of woods and resins, Ford says it is the perfect balance between tradition and innovation.
