Imtac Technologies is expanding its footprint in the UAE to grab the emerging opportunities in the healthcare sector.

The healthcare technology solutions provider is optimistic about the business potential in this segment as health insurance has been made mandatory from January 1.

Imtac Tech set up its office, iCT Health, at Dubai Healthcare City to cater to the requirements of the region's healthcare sector. The entity will offer healthcare technology solutions to individual physician-run clinics, nursing homes, super specialty hospitals, insurance firms, third-party agencies and patients.

"We want to position iCT Health as a special purpose vehicle that addresses the needs of the healthcare industry through the delivery and application of customised technology solutions. We have a growing number of ageing population that demands more healthcare services. Health insurance has been made compulsory here. These factors will increase the demand for healthcare solutions in the near future," said Gautam Dey, COO, Imtac Technologies.
