Lootah IT Solutions (Lits), the information and communication technology arm of the UAE-based SS Lootah Group, yesterday said it will set up a development and operations centre at Technopark in Thiruvananthapuram, the capital city of the south Indian state of Kerala.
The agreement was signed by Lits CEO Abdullah Saeed Lootah and Technopark CEO N Radhakrishnan Nair. As part of the deal, the facility will provide an advanced information infrastructure for service industries. It will involve software development, including CRM solutions and also address solutions for sectors such as engineering, construction, energy and environment, Lits said in a statement.
Lootah said: "[We] have been working with several companies operating from Technopark. As a natural progression, we are now looking to establish our permanent base in India, known for its IT stronghold and skilled manpower, which will provide us with a gateway to reach out to a larger market in the Subcontinent and other parts of Asia."
Lits's permanent set-up in Technopark strengthens the group's foothold in the Subcontinent in various sectors, with information technology and knowledge Economy among its top priorities. "SS Lootah Asia aims to elevate the cultural and economic synergy between India and the UAE through strategic partnerships, insourcing and sourcing global business collaboration opportunities," the statement said.
LITS was the first to customise web hosting in the UAE and is a pioneer of large-scale Wimax solutions.
