RCI, the global leader in vacation exchange, said it will make Kuwait-based Aerated Concrete Industries Company's (Acico) proposed Nassima Tower, which is being constructed in the Trade Centre district in Dubai, an affiliate member.

The 50-storey tower's central location on Shaikh Zayed Road will appeal to both business and leisure travellers, with a variety of units ranging from one to three bedrooms, RCI said.

"Acico will bring high quality products to this market and we are proud to be affiliated with this group for their first foray into this exciting industry," said Nick Turner, Managing Director, RCI Middle East.

Nabil Al Khaled, Deputy General Manager for business development, Acico, said: "Dubai is becoming expensive; though people come here once and are amazed, but the rising hotel rates are proving to be a deterrent for return visits. The shared ownership model allows for flexibility in accommodations and lets visitors enjoy this world-class city from one of the best locations. We chose RCI programme because it has the products and services that will help make our project a success."

The RCI exchange network is comprised of more than 4,000 affiliated resorts worldwide. Customers purchasing units in the tower will become members of the RCI, an added benefit for owners, offering access to the resorts in the network.
