Ministry of Economy issues 139,039 certificates of origin in 2009

The Ministry of Economy issued 139,039 certificates of origin in 2009, which covers all the seven emirates and the certificates issued for the Gulf, Arab and other countries. There are 10 types of these certificates associated with various industries and standards.

Abu Dhabi office issued 19,916 certificates including 2598 certificates for Arab nations, 15,390 for GCC and 1,958 certificates for foreign countries. Dubai issued 59,587 certificates, including 8,123 of Arab origin and 51,464 for GCC. Sharjah issued 5,264 Arab certificates, 4,248 GCC and 3,747 certificates for foreign countries. Ajman, issued 10,285 certificates in total.
