Arabtec’s revenue to grow 40%

Arabtec Holding Co's revenue is expected to grow 40 per cent to Dh6 billion ($1.63 billion) this year, Chief Executive Riad Kamal said on Tuesday.

"We expect revenue in 2008 to grow by 40 per cent to Dh6 billion... driven by more projects," Kamal told Reuters by telephone.

"Profit growth depends on many factors, such as the cost of building materials, wages and possible delays in deliveries, which are out of our hands," he said.

The largest United Emirates Arab construction firm by market value made its second-biggest quarterly profit ever in the fourth quarter as profit margins improved and it expanded regionally. (Reuters)
