Boost for UAE's ties with Egypt

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak met with more than 20 prominent UAE businessmen, investors and chairmen of banks in Abu Dhabi, before he left the country after a two-day visit.

 

He was seen off by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Advisor. President Mubarak was earlier received by Sheikh Mohammed, who accompanied him on a motorcade, which passed along Sheikh Zayed Road before reaching Zabeel Palace.

 

President Mubarak and Sheikh Mohammed held a meeting, which was attended by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai; Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai; Sheikh Hazza; Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum; Sheikh Mayed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum; Mohammed Al Gergawi, Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs; Lt Gen Dahi Khalfan, Dubai Police Chief; Ahmed Ali Nasser Al Mail Al Zaabi, UAE Ambassador to Egypt and Mohammed Saad Obaid, Egyptian Ambassador to

the UAE.

 

Earlier, General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, hosted a banquet in honour of President Mubarak. It was attended by Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, the Abu Dhabi Ruler’s Representative in the Eastern region, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Presidential Affairs and Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister.
