A roadside bomb struck a passenger bus north of Baghdad on Tuesday and killed at least six people, including four children, a local police officer told AFP.
Police Major Mohammed Al Karkhi said the bomb struck the bus in the town of Bala Druz, north of Baquba, the capital of Iraq's Diyala province.
He said six people were killed -- four children and two women.
Five others were also wounded in the blast, including four children and a woman, Karkhi added.
Diyala, north of Baghdad, is one of the most dangerous regions in Iraq where US and Iraqi forces are battling Al Qaeda led insurgents. (AFP)
