Dubai Holding to focus on nationals at career expo

Dubai Holding is to highlight job and training opportunities available to UAE nationals at the eighth annual Careers UAE exhibition.

The company will showcase its seven primary subsidiaries – Tecom Investments, Tatweer, Jumeirah Group, Dubai Properties, Sama Dubai, Dubai International Capital and Dubai Group.

“We offer challenging and rewarding careers and place great importance, across the group, on attracting and retaining the best people to develop future major projects that will benefit the UAE and the region.

Last year, 200 UAE national graduates started on their career paths with Dubai Holding as a direct result of their attendance at the careers fair.

A spokesman said: “Dubai Holding is committed to actively developing the skills of its employees. It has introduced Leadon, a programme for future leaders, which seeks to develop individuals with high potential and lay the foundation for all future talent and succession management initiatives across the company.

“Leadon is benchmarked against similar programmes in global organisations such as General Electric and Toyota. Dubai Holding has also incorporated the Emirates Nationals Development Programme into its recruitment processes.”

More than 20,000 people are expected to visit Careers UAE, which will be held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre from April 15 to 17.

Representatives from Dubai Holding and the seven subsidiaries will be located at stand number Z-F5 in Zabeel Hall to counsel and explore career paths and collect resumes from prospective

job seekers.

The recruitment, training and education exhibition will enable UAE nationals with varying qualifications to take the first step on the career ladder or tap into further education and training opportunities to enhance their skills.
