Earthquake rattles southern Greece
The Athens Geodynamic Institute says an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 5.2 has struck southern Greece. It did not cause any damage or injuries.
The institute says the earthquake occurred at 9:10 am (0710GMT) and had an epicenter beneath the seabed, 275 kilometers south southwest of Athens.
A month ago, two strong quakes with magnitudes of 6.5 and 6.4 struck the same area and were felt as far away as Italy and Egypt. |
