Britain has extended a ban on all flights in its airspace until at least 0000 GMT on Monday, due to the volcanic ash cloud from Iceland, air authorities said.
"The volcanic ash cloud from Iceland is currently spread acoss the UK," the National Air Traffic Services said in a statement.
"Based on the latest information from the Met Office, NATS advises that the restrictions currently in place across UK controlled airspace will remain in place until at least 01:00 tomorrow, Monday 19 April."
NATS added that it would continue to monitor information and would issue further arrangements later this afternoon at around 1400 GMT.
