Global bank tax deal likely: UK's Conservatives

 Britain's opposition Conservatives said international agreement for a tax on banks is likely, but the party could go it alone with a watered-down levy if necessary should it win the upcoming election.

"The best thing is for international agreement, and I think there are good signs that that can happen," Conservative Party leader David Cameron said.
