UniCredit boss threatens to quit

UniCredit's Chief Executive Alessandro Profumo has threatened to resign if key shareholders reject plans to streamline domestic operations. A source familiar with the situation said Profumo told shareholders that he was ready to quit if they refused to back a revamp plan that analysts say could save Italy's biggest bank by market value up to €800 million (Dh4.03 billion).
