Fed cuts key interest rate

WASHINGTON



The Federal Reserve has cut a key rate by a quarter point, a smaller move than the aggressive easing it undertook earlier this year. The action, announced yesterday, pushed the federal funds rate down to two per cent, its lowest since 2004. (AP)
