Abu Dhabi issues law covering judicial fees

The President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in his capacity as Ruler of Abu Dhabi, has issued a law covering the emirate's judicial fee structure.

No lawsuit, request or challenge will be accepted unless the assigned fees are paid.

However, lawsuits requests and challenges filed by federal and local governments and public interest establishments will be exempt from the fees, according to the new law issued by Sheikh Khalifa yesterday.

And lawsuits submitted by workers and domestic helpers regarding their entitlements will also be exempt during the litigation and enforcement processes. The new law covers the emirate's judicial fee structure.
