Dubai A case was heard at the Dubai Criminal Court of an Arab, JE, 30, who is accused, along with a group of people, of breaking into a massage centre and robbing money and mobile phones which were in the possession of the centre's customers.

The defendant, who is currently in jail pending the case, attended yesterday's session and denied the charge. The court adjourned the case to March 14 for the verdict. The defendant will be held in jail until the next session.

The public prosecution accused the defendant of three charges: armed robbery, assaulting victim Abdulrazaq Mohammed, owner of the massage centre, and consumption of alcohol. Policeman Ismael Mohammed said he received a call about the robbery and headed immediately to the location of the incident, where he saw the defendant running with three other people giving chase. The defendant was then caught by a police patrol and was arrested. He threw a knife in his possession behind the police patrol and smelt of alcohol.
