The Critical National Infrastructure Authority (CNIA) has signed a co-operation agreement with Al Otaiba Enterprises to provide security authorisation and access cards, and to meet other needs and requirements for security procedures at critical sites.

The total value of the agreement is Dh147 million. The agreement was signed by CNIA's Director General Staff Brigadier Engineer Muhair Ali Al Khateri and Sultan Al Otaiba, Chairman of Al Otaiba Enterprises, at Idex 2009.

Khateri said the agreement is in line with the directive from His Highness President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler of Abu Dhabi, and General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, to further strengthen the security capabilities of CNIA as per the aspirations of the government of Abu Dhabi.

"Security authorisation and access cards issued by CNIA are designed to meet the highest international security and technical standards and requirements," Al Khateri said.
