The new premises of the Emirates Institute of Banking and Financial Studies (EIBFS) were inaugurated in Abu Dhabi yesterday by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Presidential Affairs.

The minister also attended the graduation ceremony of the new batches of the EIBFS students. The ceremony coincided with the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the institute.

In his keynote address, EIBFS Chairman Ahmed Humaid Al Tayer said the 25th anniversary of the EIBFS and the graduation ceremony, which coincides with the opening of the new premises, are a new addition to the institute's efforts to provide more training opportunities.

He said the institute, which has conducted more than 300 programmes, has produced 1,581 graduates, adding that it is co-operating with a number of banking, financial and academic institutions at the local, regional and international levels.

The EIBFS honoured 14 national and foreign banks by awarding them for their contribution to national development.
