Federal customs law amended

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, chaired here yesterday the regular meeting of the Council of Ministers.

During the meeting, which was held at the Presidential Palace, the cabinet discussed a number of issues on its agenda.

The cabinet reviewed a number of recommendations put forward by the Federal National Council and took the necessary decisions on them.

It approved a cabinet draft resolution on blood transfusion system and the amendment of Federal Law No 1 of 2003 dealing with the setting up of Federal Customs Authority and the UAE's membership to the General Data Dissemination System (GDDS).

The cabinet also approved the organisational structures of a number of federal institutions. (Wam)
