General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, yesterday met Japan's Senior Vice-Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications Takayoshi Taniguchi.

They reviewed economic co-operation and trade, especially joint investment in gas, petrochemical industry and energy.

General Sheikh Mohammed discussed the UAE's longstanding economic relations with Japan, which date back to some 30 years. He also invited Japanese companies to set up production and assembly units in Abu Dhabi, making use of the facilities and services offered by industrial areas.
