Leaders strengthen bilateral relations


The President, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler of Abu Dhabi, and Sultan Qaboos bin Saeed of Oman held talks at the Al Mushrif Palace yesterday.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice-President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, attended.

Sheikh Khalifa welcomed Sultan Qaboos and his delegation and said their visit to the UAE would foster the integration of relations. He pointed to the harmony between the countries in their vision, and stance in several regional and international issues. The visit by Sultan Qaboos highlighted the relations between the UAE and Oman and the joint efforts to strengthen their long-standing co-operation in various fields, the President said.

Sultan Qaboos expressed satisfaction on his visit and meeting Sheikh Khalifa. He reiterated Oman's keenness to further improve the relations with the UAE.
