Sheikha Lubna Al Qasimi, UAE's Minister of Foreign Trade, yesterday received Shephard W Hill, President of Boeing International.
Apart from co-operation between the UAE airlines and Boeing, both officials discussed a wide-range of issues, including relations between the UAE and the United States, investments, trade and technology.
Sheikha Lubna said UAE is keen to bolster its strong and vibrant relations with the US, especially in new projects and areas.
"The UAE is a leading market in the aviation sector along with tourism, another area where the UAE is carving a nitche for itself," said Sheikha Lubna.
UAE's direct foreign investments, which stood at $19 billion (Dh69.7bn) in 2006, she said, is all set to increase significantly due to "renewed opportunities."
Sheikha Lubna also met a Chinese delegation led by Wang Guoping, the head of the municipal council of Hangzhou city.
